First founded as the No. 2 of shop of Ginza Kimuraya in 1882, Zorokumochi Kimura was the government appointed providor of emergency rations and bread to the Sakura Infantry Regiment. Zorokumochi is a wafer shaped like the Zoroku precious stone of Sakura's Lord Hotta's family, filled with "mochi" rice cake. Cherry Blossom Sweets are a seasonal delicacy from 15 January in the new year to April. Cherry Blossom Sweets are steamed buns filled with cherry blossom paste. This filling is made from white bean paste and cherry blossom leaves.
